Crew22 · the questions we actually get asked

Questions, answered straight.

Including the ones that are awkward for us. If something you need to know is not here, email admin@crew22.com.au and ask — a person reads it.

01

Before anything starts

1.1

What does the Audit actually involve?

One day. We follow a single job all the way through your business: the docket, the timesheet, the quote, the invoice. Then we write down every place the same information gets entered again.

You get one page back: how a job really moves, where it gets typed twice, what those hours add up to across a year, and which job to do first. No slide deck.

1.2

What if you find nothing worth fixing?

We tell you that and send you the page anyway. It has happened to businesses that were already tidier than they thought, and it is a perfectly good outcome.

You would still have the map of how your own business runs, which most operators have never actually seen written down.

1.3

Do we have to change the software we already use?

No. That is the whole point. We connect what you already own and pay for, so nothing gets thrown out and your crew does not have to relearn anything.

If we ever think a tool genuinely needs replacing we will say so and explain why, but it is not what we sell.

1.4

Will this replace our admin staff?

No, and we will not sell it that way at any price. It is a standing rule, written down, and it is not negotiable.

Your admin is not slow. They are doing the same job three times because nothing talks to anything. Fix that and the same people take on more work, which is what you actually wanted when you started looking.

1.5

How long until something actually works?

14 days from the day we get working access to the systems in scope. Not from the day you sign, and not from the day you pay.

If it is not working by then, you do not pay for it, and anything already paid for that workflow is refunded. The clause is written out in full in our terms, including exactly what "working" means and the only two things that pause the clock.

We never run more than 3 guaranteed builds at once, which is what makes the fortnight a real number rather than a slogan. If all three slots are full when you want to go ahead, we give you the start date in writing before you pay anything, and the 14 days runs from there.

02

Money

2.1

What does it cost?

The Audit is $2,500 and comes off the cost of the job if you go ahead. The Join is $12,000 for our first 10 customers, then $18,000.

The two bigger jobs, The Quote Clock and The Backbone, are quoted, because what they are worth depends entirely on what they are costing you now.

2.2

Is there GST on top?

No. Crew22 Pty Ltd is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged or included in any price we quote.

If that changes, GST will be added to work quoted after that date and it will say so on the quote. We will not surprise you with it.

2.3

Why is the founding price published if it is going up?

Because publishing it makes it a promise, and we would rather be held to one.

$18,000 is the standard price, not an invented "was" price. Nobody has been charged it yet and we will not pretend otherwise. If you accept a scope while the founding rate is published, you get the founding rate even if the count fills before your work starts.

2.4

What happens to the Audit fee if we go ahead?

It comes off the first invoice for the build. You do not pay for the Audit twice.

If you do not go ahead, you keep the page and we keep the fee. That is the deal, and it is why the Audit is worth doing on its own.

03

Access, data and what happens after

3.1

What access do you need to our systems?

The least that does the job, on our own named accounts. Never a shared password and never more than the scope requires.

You can revoke it at any time, without asking us and without explaining. Tell us so we know a workflow is about to stop, but you do not need our permission.

3.2

Where does our data go?

It stays in your systems. We do not copy data out except where the workflow itself requires it, or to reproduce a fault you have reported.

Our own website and email providers store some information outside Australia, mainly in the United States, and we say exactly which ones in our privacy policy. If your organisation requires Australian-only data handling for a piece of work, tell us at scoping and we will design for it or tell you we cannot.

3.3

Who owns what you build?

You do, once it is paid for: the automations, the mappings and the documentation for your setup. Your data was always yours and we claim nothing in it.

Our general methods and templates stay ours, but where any of it is embedded in your build you get a permanent, paid-up licence to use it, change it, or have somebody else maintain it. We do not build lock-in and call it a relationship.

3.4

What happens if the software vendor changes something and it breaks?

For 30 days after go-live we fix anything not doing what the scope said, at no cost, so we are still there through your first month-end.

After that, if a vendor changes or withdraws the connection point we built against, repairing it is new work, and we will tell you what it takes before doing it. Ongoing cover is what the monthly retainer is for, and it is optional.

3.5

Do you work interstate?

Yes. Australia-wide. Most of the work is done remotely because most of it is done inside software, and we come on site when watching the actual job is the only way to understand it, which is usually the Audit.

04

Buying from us

4.1

Can you get through our vendor onboarding?

That is the right question to ask early, and we would rather you asked it now than at invoice stage.

Send us your requirements or your portal invite. Avetta, Cm3, Rapid Global, or your own form. We will tell you straight whether we can meet it today or what we have to put in place first. ABN, ACN, bank details and certificates of currency come back to you on request.

4.2

Are you Supply Nation certified?

No, and we will not imply it. We are working towards Supply Nation registration. Until a certificate is actually issued to us there is no badge on this site, in a proposal or in a tender response.

If you need our Indigenous ownership evidenced for your reporting, ask and we will send you exactly what we hold at the time, and no more than that.

4.3

Who actually owns and runs Crew22?

Two people. Adam Perry and Clare Ballard, both directors, and between them they own all of it. There is no third party, no parent company and nobody else with a say.

Aboriginal-owned. Ask us the hard questions about that: who owns it, who runs it, who does the work. We would rather answer them than be a name on somebody's list. More about how we work.

4.4

You are brand new. Why would we risk it?

You should be asking that. Crew22 Pty Ltd was registered on 7 September 2026 and we have no client list to show you.

So the risk sits with us instead of you: your first workflow works in 14 days or you do not pay for it. And the thing we can prove is that we build software that survives contact with a worksite. CrewBase is ours, it is live, and people clock on through it every morning.

Still the fastest way to find out: move three sliders.

The hours tool runs on your numbers and shows its working. Send it to us and your figures come with it, so the first thing we say back is about your business.
